Ricky Warren
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"
Matthew 6:33
Ricky D. Warren is the Pastor of Greater Ward African Methodist Episcopal Church, more affectionately known as THE FORWARD in Houston, Texas. Pastor Warren is a gifted preacher, teacher, and musician. He has but one goal, winning souls for the Kingdom of God!

Pastor Warren received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas Southern University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University. Currently Pastor Warren is attending Houston Graduate School of Theology as a Master of Divinity student. He is also actively employed with the Houston Independent School District where he serves as a teacher with certification in Special Education.

Pastor Warren grew up under the umbrella of the Church of God in Christ where he received salvation and cultivated his spirit of praise and worship. Under the influence of his paternal grandfather, Rev. J. B. Felder, Pastor Warren united with the African Methodist Episcopal Church but continues to hold his COGIC experience close to his heart. Pastor Warren served as the Minister of Music for East Orange AME Church for 15 years. During this time, in the year 2000, he heard the voice of the Lord calling him to preach the gospel and by faith he answered the call. After being trained, licensed, and ordained he later accepted the responsibility of Assistant Pastor and served dual roles in ministry.

In November of 2017 Pastor Warren was assigned to Greater Ward AME Church in Houston, TX. The ForWARD Church where we are Moving Forward…Reaching Higher…Doing Greater! Pastor Warren anticipates doing even greater works for the Kingdom of God!
